Mash Frouhar was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009 and joined a prominent criminal defense firm in Ottawa in 2010. Before joining the firm, Mash worked as an Assistant Crown Attorney as well as a defence lawyer with Legal Aid Ontario. During her many years of practice, she has conducted numerous trials including but not limited to human trafficking, murder, attempted murder, driving offences, drugs, sexual assault & domestic related offences.
Prior to starting her own firm, she worked for many years under the guidance of an experienced and reputable criminal defence firm in Ottawa. This experience has guided her in the importance of tireless preparatory work and the need to constantly anticipate the opposing side’s next move.
She regularly travels throughout Eastern Ontario in order to represent clients in various jurisdictions. Mash offers her clients services in English, French and Farsi.
Mash has a B.A. in Criminology & graduated from the French Common Law Program of the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa earning an LL.B.
She has taught Criminal Law at a local community college for numerous years and has volunteered her time in various moot court competitions as a mentor or judge in order to train students in the art of oral advocacy.
Mash is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario, the Criminal Lawyers Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Defence Counsel Association of Ottawa, the Defence Counsel Association of Brockville, and the County of Carleton Law Association.
